I Need The Collective Wisdom.... A friend and I have just flown a new Wheeler, and it was originally a F-FT-1S. My problem is I feel the Pilot Handbook limitations are not really appropriate. We have the new 2000 tail on it. Also we have the new aluminum landing gear. We use the IO-540-C4B5 of 250 horse, and the 3 blade Hartzell. I'm thinking the gross weight should be more than 2895, and with the new tail, I wonder if the C.G. envelope is correct as published in the manual (74 to 84.95). Does anyone have any good input for me? thanks, Loyd Henson |

I would reference the EX2K numbers. These are all experamental, hand built, individual airframes, so you are left to your own more less as each one will fly different. So don't get warm and fuzzy just cause you are using abcxyz posted numbers. I set the TOGW at 3400# on my plane and would be hard pressed to reach that. good flying |
