In an attempt to make some fuel tank changes, I was looking in the tanks to find the fuel/vent lines running through the tanks. The plans I have show a change that includes adding some supports of the lines...my tanks do not have these supports. (Wings are completed).

Has there been a history of failures of these lines?

Any ideas of how to retro some supports?

Are they needed?

I have a similar question. On the pre-2000 wings the lines were "Z" routed and fiberglassed to supports. On the 2000 wings I saw the lines were routed along the spar. I've always been concerned about glassing the line directly to a support. Any of you have suggestions on a cushioned support or am I worrying about a non problem.
