Dear illustrious Express owners/builders, I've been lurking for awhile, hoping to see someone discuss how to generate a POH. Most of the POHs I've seen for homebuilts are pretty "thin". Is it possible to generate comprehensive performance data through empirical flight testing and some mathematical modeling program? My background is electrical engineering. So, while I can probably comprehend the math and modeling, aerodynamics isn't my discipline. Is there some internet resource I can access? Ideally, by the time I've finished testing my 2000RG (which I won't even start until August, '02), I'd have a POH that looks somewhat similar to the one for my Mooney M20K. (That's me -- perpetually optimistic!) Thanks, Craig |

I have a 4 page preflight & flight operations check list in 5.5"x8.5" format in MS Word format. I anyone would like a copy, send me an email & include "check list" in the title. Does anyone have a good POH to share? I've been trying to put something together, but it is far from complete. |

Gary. You will be aware that I have been trying to source a POH as well as a Flight Manual. I would be most grateful for the "check list". I also echo the sentiments of Craig and would appreciate any help in this direction. Regards. Kevin (from Downumder) (kdennes@ihug.com.au) |

Would be really cool if something could be placed on the new Manual CD that could be used as a Flight Test and POH. Something beyond a 1-2 sheet 'generic', but still customizable in Excell, Word, etc. |

I have my POH, 4 page 5x8.5, suitable-for-lamination VFR and IFR checklists, and first flight test check list, and annual inspection checklist in electronic form and will put them on my web site and put a link here. Give me a couple days. N49EX |

My thnaks too Reinhard & Gary! I have the same checklist as 90ED, the one John Klenke gave me. If there's anything on it that you don't have I'll let everyone know. Doug Hoff |

Sounds like Reinhard's may be more extensive than mine. I look forward to seeing them. Thanks Reinhard. As always, you have lots of good info to share. Gary Markwardt |

Thanks Reinhard!! In case anyone can't read Micro$oft's formats I have converted Reinhard's documents to Adobe PDF format and they are posted in the Technical Documents section at: http://www.express-builder.com/docs/index.html Also, Gary Markwardt provided his Preflight and Flight Ops checklists for the Technical Documents section. Enjoy, Tom |
