Does anybody else store their Express outdoors? Hangers here are $300 / month. The typical damage is due to wind (70 mph is not uncommon) and hail (shouldn't be as much of an issue for a composite aircraft). I really hate the idea of having it outdoors, plus the difficulty of working on it, but until I get a place with some land so I can put in my own strip, the hangers are just going to be too expensive.... |

With regard to the aircraft covers, I have one for my CT from Bruce's aircraft comvers. I called every listing I could find. Bruce is the only one that has a pattern for the Express. Save some time. Call Bruce's first. I paid about 435 which included my call letters on it. A bag is included in the price. I also know the feeling about storing outside. I was on a wait list for five years before I got my hangar. Good luck! |

I have had a Bruce's Custom Cover for a year and a half of outdoor storage, works/fits well. $225/mon and a two year wait sounds good, at SQL its $400+/mon and a 10 year wait. Even a tie-down is $113/month and there aren't many of those. Progress gets very slow when you have to work outdoors. |

If you don't mind 2000 x 32 ft asphalt or 2000 x 75 ft grass, join New Carlisle Flying Angels (3OH0)near Dayton OH. Costs us $15.00/month for either tie down or for land to build a hanger on. You can probably find a hanger to buy for anywhere from $10K - $50K depending on how fancy you want it. |
