After 14 and a half years of build time, my Express finally gave up hanger queen status and flew on June 29, 2004. It is an original Wheeler kit with the cruciform tail, Lycoming IO 540 C4B5 engine, and a new Hartzell 3 blade prop. It climbs really fast, so much so that I over corrected after over rotating, and almost scared myself and ground crew to death! I posted videos and photos on the gallery at http://www.express-builder.com/gallery/ I now have 9 hours, and am flying better. My local EAA chapter gave me a "Stick-To-It" certificate and baked a cake for me! Steve Bussey |

Steve, Great looking airplane! You didn't mess around with the panel, first class all the way. Good to hear about one more Express flying. Nancy says it's a beaut. Nancy and Roy |
