Nice, looks the the prop is one of the new Hartzell compact scimiar types ;)

I do like the way the wing sheared off and didn't take half the passenger compartment with it.

I wonder why there isn't an NTSB report for it.

Didn't the accident happen in Canada? That's probably why there's no NTSB report.

Yes it was in Canada. There was a reference in the "FAA" reports but I haven't recently checked the NTSB.

The aircraft held up very well. The wings were only "removed" for transportation off the airfield. It was a good showing of how strong the Express is. However, it was sad to see to such a new aircraft.

Is that the plane that had the landing incident at a Canadian airshow? I think a crosswind caused it to roll just before touchdown and the wingtip struck the ground first.

I think the right wing was torn off on impact. Nose gear and right gear torn off.Firewall/cowling messed up.I was told aircraft stalled.Does anyone have any thoughts of putting it back together?

After the salvage guys gutted it, I would think it would be easier to build a new one. At the very least, you would have to build a new pair of wings and inspect absolutely everything (and rebuild the engine, etc).

Too bad something couldn't have been settled with a new organization for Sun-n-Fun. I at least hope some Express fliers will show up. Maybe we should plan our own get together? Who's going?
